Correction!!

Ha, sorry, I had a brain fade last night. My mom does not have measles. She has SHINGLES!!! For those of you that are medically educated you were probably wondering how and the heck I could get chicken pocks from measles. Ha, sorry about that! For those of you that don't know, you can only get shingles if you have had chicken pocks. But if you have never had chicken pocks you can get them from someone that has shingles. But from what the medical professionals say, you can only get them if you are in contact with an open sore. Anyway, sorry for the long explanation. I just wanted to update the correction.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Out with the old!!

We had a wonderful Christmas week. Yes I say week because it was really drawn out between 3 days of gift opening. Larkin's family is coming this Tuesday so we'll get to do it all over again this week. Mitch's favorite gifts are his electronic Thomas the train set, his cars and racetrack from the movie cars, his pilot hat like Daddy's, Hess motorcycles, and Buzz Lightyear. He of course got many more gifts but this is just to list a few of the favs.
We have no big New Years Eve plans. Larkin does not get home until new years day so Mitch and I will probably hang out just us. We are getting some good snow right now so that will have us wanting to stay in. I wanted to post one more blog before the year is out. This month was so busy I find I have not blogged hardly at all.
I hope all of you had a really wonderful Christmas. It's so nice being back home around family and enjoying these holidays the way they are supposed to be, with family. This year was a little off for us though. My mom was very sick and it took about a week to find out what was going on with her. Well it came to turn out that she has measles. Oh gosh I never new they could create such pain. Now at almost 2 weeks later she is still suffering horrible from the pain. All of the medical advice she is receive is telling her to stay far away from me. With being pregnant I guess if I get it, it could lead to severe birth defects for the baby. Even though my obgyn says there is no way for me to get it, we are still being cautious. This is hard for us because my mom and I see each other just about every day. So the holidays just have not seemed the same for her and I. If you will pray for her quick recovering because she is really down and out with this horrible illness.
Well as I log off for 2007 I pray all of you have a safe New Years Eve and enjoy bringing in 2008.

Oh Darn!

So yesterday Mom and I are headed down the road to Harrisburg to get some running done. My mom was talking and in the middle of her conversation we were interrupted by a little voice in the back of the van saying "Oh Darn." We about peed our pants. Mom said it at some point and little man picked right up on it. Good thing it was not a word worse than that. LOL!!

We did get hit with about 3 inches of snow today/tonight and it's still coming down. I love a reason to get snowed in and have to stay home all day.
I felt the baby do a flip today. Ha it's the craziest feeling and I love it!!! Well I'll keep this post short. Here are two pictures to enjoy of Mitch.

Snow, Snow, Let it Snow!!

About a week ago we woke up with a few snow flurries on the ground. Mitch was so excited when he looked outside. We headed out to the living room where he peered out the front window just watching it fall. Unfortunately it only lasted about a day. Well yesterday and today we are getting bitter cold wind and snow. It's laying on the ground now. Not a lot of accumulation but oh goodness it's cold. Mitch is so excited and Elliott acts like the snow is going to melt him. Once he gets though he runs around like the crazy dog he is.

The day after Thanksgiving we put our tree up. I love this time of year. It makes the home so cozy and warm. Well warm if you can over look the bitter cold 30 degree day time weather outside. Mitch has been good so far with the tree. He broke one ornament the first night but after he realized that throwing the balls will make them break he pretty much kept his hands off of them. He brings me ornaments here and there but for the most party he is listening to mommy. I put the nativity up this weekend so that is his new toy. My mom purposely bought me a none breakable nativity that we love.

I just wanted to share some of our Christmas updates with you. We are doing good for the most part. Just getting through the financial fun of the Christmas season. We count our blessings though and thank God we are in A LOT better place than what we were last year at this time. Have a blessed week and I'll yap soon.

These pictures were taken during our first snow fall about a week ago.

Looking off of our back deck.

Mitch very excited watching the snow fall.
