Out with the old!!

We had a wonderful Christmas week. Yes I say week because it was really drawn out between 3 days of gift opening. Larkin's family is coming this Tuesday so we'll get to do it all over again this week. Mitch's favorite gifts are his electronic Thomas the train set, his cars and racetrack from the movie cars, his pilot hat like Daddy's, Hess motorcycles, and Buzz Lightyear. He of course got many more gifts but this is just to list a few of the favs.
We have no big New Years Eve plans. Larkin does not get home until new years day so Mitch and I will probably hang out just us. We are getting some good snow right now so that will have us wanting to stay in. I wanted to post one more blog before the year is out. This month was so busy I find I have not blogged hardly at all.
I hope all of you had a really wonderful Christmas. It's so nice being back home around family and enjoying these holidays the way they are supposed to be, with family. This year was a little off for us though. My mom was very sick and it took about a week to find out what was going on with her. Well it came to turn out that she has measles. Oh gosh I never new they could create such pain. Now at almost 2 weeks later she is still suffering horrible from the pain. All of the medical advice she is receive is telling her to stay far away from me. With being pregnant I guess if I get it, it could lead to severe birth defects for the baby. Even though my obgyn says there is no way for me to get it, we are still being cautious. This is hard for us because my mom and I see each other just about every day. So the holidays just have not seemed the same for her and I. If you will pray for her quick recovering because she is really down and out with this horrible illness.
Well as I log off for 2007 I pray all of you have a safe New Years Eve and enjoy bringing in 2008.
