Correction!!

Ha, sorry, I had a brain fade last night. My mom does not have measles. She has SHINGLES!!! For those of you that are medically educated you were probably wondering how and the heck I could get chicken pocks from measles. Ha, sorry about that! For those of you that don't know, you can only get shingles if you have had chicken pocks. But if you have never had chicken pocks you can get them from someone that has shingles. But from what the medical professionals say, you can only get them if you are in contact with an open sore. Anyway, sorry for the long explanation. I just wanted to update the correction.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Out with the old!!

We had a wonderful Christmas week. Yes I say week because it was really drawn out between 3 days of gift opening. Larkin's family is coming this Tuesday so we'll get to do it all over again this week. Mitch's favorite gifts are his electronic Thomas the train set, his cars and racetrack from the movie cars, his pilot hat like Daddy's, Hess motorcycles, and Buzz Lightyear. He of course got many more gifts but this is just to list a few of the favs.
We have no big New Years Eve plans. Larkin does not get home until new years day so Mitch and I will probably hang out just us. We are getting some good snow right now so that will have us wanting to stay in. I wanted to post one more blog before the year is out. This month was so busy I find I have not blogged hardly at all.
I hope all of you had a really wonderful Christmas. It's so nice being back home around family and enjoying these holidays the way they are supposed to be, with family. This year was a little off for us though. My mom was very sick and it took about a week to find out what was going on with her. Well it came to turn out that she has measles. Oh gosh I never new they could create such pain. Now at almost 2 weeks later she is still suffering horrible from the pain. All of the medical advice she is receive is telling her to stay far away from me. With being pregnant I guess if I get it, it could lead to severe birth defects for the baby. Even though my obgyn says there is no way for me to get it, we are still being cautious. This is hard for us because my mom and I see each other just about every day. So the holidays just have not seemed the same for her and I. If you will pray for her quick recovering because she is really down and out with this horrible illness.
Well as I log off for 2007 I pray all of you have a safe New Years Eve and enjoy bringing in 2008.

Oh Darn!

So yesterday Mom and I are headed down the road to Harrisburg to get some running done. My mom was talking and in the middle of her conversation we were interrupted by a little voice in the back of the van saying "Oh Darn." We about peed our pants. Mom said it at some point and little man picked right up on it. Good thing it was not a word worse than that. LOL!!

We did get hit with about 3 inches of snow today/tonight and it's still coming down. I love a reason to get snowed in and have to stay home all day.
I felt the baby do a flip today. Ha it's the craziest feeling and I love it!!! Well I'll keep this post short. Here are two pictures to enjoy of Mitch.

Snow, Snow, Let it Snow!!

About a week ago we woke up with a few snow flurries on the ground. Mitch was so excited when he looked outside. We headed out to the living room where he peered out the front window just watching it fall. Unfortunately it only lasted about a day. Well yesterday and today we are getting bitter cold wind and snow. It's laying on the ground now. Not a lot of accumulation but oh goodness it's cold. Mitch is so excited and Elliott acts like the snow is going to melt him. Once he gets though he runs around like the crazy dog he is.

The day after Thanksgiving we put our tree up. I love this time of year. It makes the home so cozy and warm. Well warm if you can over look the bitter cold 30 degree day time weather outside. Mitch has been good so far with the tree. He broke one ornament the first night but after he realized that throwing the balls will make them break he pretty much kept his hands off of them. He brings me ornaments here and there but for the most party he is listening to mommy. I put the nativity up this weekend so that is his new toy. My mom purposely bought me a none breakable nativity that we love.

I just wanted to share some of our Christmas updates with you. We are doing good for the most part. Just getting through the financial fun of the Christmas season. We count our blessings though and thank God we are in A LOT better place than what we were last year at this time. Have a blessed week and I'll yap soon.

These pictures were taken during our first snow fall about a week ago.

Looking off of our back deck.

Mitch very excited watching the snow fall.

Sex of the baby!

Well we went yesterday to find out the sex of the baby. We are having a BOY!! We are very excited for our two of a kind. :) Honestly we did not have a preference either way. We just feel so blessed to be having another baby. Our due date is still sticking for April 3rd. Of course with my c-section I'll go before then. I included two sweet pictures for you to enjoy.

Profile Picture! Boy he looks like Mitchell already.

Sweet feet picture! That is what keeps thumping my bladder.

Slowin' Down

Ok yea so I'm totally slowing down on my post. Our new dial up service takes so long to do just about anything. I guess it's sorta a blessing because it keeps me away from my biggest addiction, the internet. I am reading everyone's blogs. Every time I go to post a comment it locks up and gives me an internet explorer unavailable. So I'm still here and reading, sorry I have not commented. I did manage to get one picture posted in a somewhat timely manner. I'm now 20 weeks pregnant and feeling great. We find out in 1 week what we will be having. Anyone want to take any guesses for a poll???

We will be headed to NC to spend Thanksgiving with Larkin's parents. I'm really enjoying staying home with Mitch. I find myself getting bored here and there. It's an adjustment. I have not stayed home with him 100% in almost 1 1/2 years. I'm sure when the baby comes I'll be finding no down time. Mitch takes such great naps and I try and nap with him but I find myself catching up on computer time and small projects I can not do with a 2 year old. All in all things are going really good. Larkin is gone a lot working which sucks but unfortunately we are doing what we need to right now to make things work.

Mitch about 2 weeks ago. Trying to get Christmas shots.

Kickin'

The other night I was laying on my back in bed and felt this little thud. I was like ok is that what I thought it was. So I layed super still and sure enough little one was kicking way. Larkin was even about to feel it. This one is so still in the womb compared to Mitch. Mitch was a wild man in my stomach. I was so excited and have been glowing ever since. I just love being pregnant and love these feelings. Only 2 more weeks and we find out what we are having. Yea!!!
It felt so good this week to be home. I only worked Monday and Tuesday and have been off the rest of the week. I work this coming Monday and Tuesday and then I'm done completely. Well all except finalizing the "business side." That will take place over the next few months.
I hope all of you have a great weekend. We have some fun things planned so I'm sure I'll post with pictures and updates.

Almost there!

Well I'm almost there. I have almost reached my last day of work. I work tomorrow and then I work next Monday and Tuesday and then I"m done. It feels really weird. Today I went into work and the shop looked so different already. The girl started to rearrange and make things work for her. I'm so happy for her but it just feels weird. I put my heart and life into that place for the past 17 months and it is just crazy that it's almost no longer mine to control or should I say it's no longer going to control me. Ah!!!!!!
Last night Mitch woke up at 230am screaming. Not crying, screaming! It took over an hour to finally get him to an asleep point where I could take him to bed. Nights like that will make me thank the good Lord for being able to sleep in and not go to work. Those sleep in mornings can not come quick enough.

I would have never guessed!

I would have never guessed that selling my business would disturb my life so greatly. I thought ok so I train the new girl, we do all the paper work, and ta da I'm done. Oh gosh no there is so much to do. I was not on the computer at all last week. I decided to go ahead and disconnect my DSL from the shop to save the extra bill money for the next two weeks. The down side is here at our home, in the country, we can only get dial up. I know it's going to be an adjustment. I just jump on and do little by little at a time. It took me a total of 3 combined hours to dowload 144 pictures to snapfish between yesterday and today. Oh crazy!!!
Thank you so much for everyone's comments. Kim and Brandee I'll have to see if I can shoot for the 24th. I'm so excited to find out what we are having. We'll be in NC for Thanksgiving but unfortunaly with having to rush home for our ultrasound it'll be a short and sweet trip. I'm just excited to get out of town for a few days.
Well Mitch is napping and I am pooped. I spent the entire morning scrubbing floors and cleaning house. We have hardwood or vynal (sp) floors throughout our entire house except the bedrooms. That is a lot of floor scrubbing. Don't get me wrong our house it not huge but it's just time consuming. So I'm going to crash for a little while. I promise I'll keep the blogs more updated in the next few days/weeks to come.
Have a great weekend!!

17 Weeks Pregnant

I’m 17 weeks pregnant today. Crazy! My appointment went really good yesterday. The practice I go to is at a hospital called Holy Spirit. It’s a catholic hospital but very good doctors and care. I did not know that when I made my first appointment with them a few months back. They only thing they told me on the phone was that they did not prescribe artificial birth control. I was like ok no big deal cuz after this baby I’m getting my tubes tied. Well come to find out it’s because of it being a catholic practice. They will not even tie my tubes for me. SO Larkin is going to be going for the snip snip after the baby is born. Lucky him! Anyway my reason for telling you all this is yesterday after my DR did my exam he said to me that he is a Christian and it is practice of his that he likes to pray with expecting mothers over their womb and baby. I was blown away!!! It was so awesome I could have bawled. I want him to deliver the baby so bad. He was so nice and corrected my due date because they had it wrong because of leap year. He even told me when to expect my c-section. He told me that he was in 100% agreement with me with having another section. I have only gained 4 lbs my entire pregnancy so far so he was pleased with that. So my due date is April 3rd and my estimated section date is March 25th. The baby's heart rate is 150 and my belly is measuring 15 inches. I don’t remember them doing that with Mitch. Ok sorry for the LONG story!! I know you were just expecting a simple update. My sex of the baby appointment is on Friday, November 23rd at 3pm. That is the day after Thanksgiving so I know the time will go fast leading up to that. I'm so excited!!!

Pumpkin Patch

On Saturday our mom's group went to a local pumpkin patch. I thought the kids would pick pumpkins walk around and then go home. I was so wrong! They had a great hour of activities planned for them. We started off in one of the outside green houses where the kids played in a hay bail maze, a corn pit, and climbed on bails of hay. After that we walked up the hill and learned about the turkeys and got to see adult and baby turkeys. After that we headed down to a game area where they got to throw green peppers through a pepper head and play different games. We then walked through a corn maze. We then headed back down towards our cars where the children were read a story about pumpkins and then they headed to the pumpkin patch to pick their own pumpkin. It was so darn cute! They finished the day playing back in the mazes and in the corn. I loved it and I know it was a day made for Mitchell. He was on cloud 9!! Here are some pictures of our day.

Wonderful Birthday Weekend

We had such a great b-day weekend with Mitch. Friday night started off his fall festival b-day party. It was a bit cold so we did as many outside activities as we could. For the most part the kids played inside having a blast. We did an outside bone fire along with a little pumpkin patch for the kids to get their own pumpkins to take home.
Saturday we came into town for out fire company's 100 year anniversary parade. Mitch was in heaven seeing all the big trucks. We then headed over to where my sister was camping for trick or treating. I dressed Mitch as a little pirate. He was a lot cuter than scarier. By that time we were about played out for the weekend. We headed come for a long nap and ended our full weekend on Sunday with our last football game.
Mitch was so cute and pleasant all weekend. I could tell he just had the best little time ever. He also got to spend Tuesday night to Friday night with Daddy. That is always a plus!!
Here are a few pictures of our b-day weekend. I have more posted on myspace as well.

Two Already!

Today's is Mitch's 2nd b-day. I know I'll be saying this for the rest of my life but man I can not believe he is 2 already. I can remember his birth like it was yesterday. Will it always be like that. I have met mom's that their kids are like 20 years old and then want to tell me minute by minute about their birth. I promise I won't be one of those mom's. I'll stop telling birth stories by the time he is 19. LOL!!

So on Friday I thought I was getting some major sickness going on. I closed the shop early and headed to the dr. As it turned out I was getting this lovely drainage down my throat from allergies and it was causing my glands to swell and a sore throat. He put me on some antibiots and by Sunday I felt a ton better. Being pregnant I was not sure what I could take by my ob was very sweet and reassured me that everything I was on would not harm the baby at all. Huge relief cuz I needed relief.

Larkin comes homes Tuesday night and will be home till Saturday. Yea!! We are having Mitch's fall festival b-day party on Friday night. We are really excited and are working on getting the house all decorated. We have like 13 kids coming. You know what that means, lots of excitement and energy running around. Take those 13 kids and add parents to it and we could open our own small church. j/k!!

Ok I need to scrub floors here at work before leaving at 4pm. I'm ready to go get my b-day boy. He was on cloud nine last night when my girlfriend and I took him to Olive Garden. She had her two little ones and a friends little one. We got him a cake with a candle and sang Happy B-day to him. He really dug into his cake and loved blowing out his candle. This year he is way more into it than last year. Man I wish I would have had my camera on me to take pictures last night. He loved it!!

I can not wait till Friday. This week is going to either fly by cuz I have so much to get done or it'll go slow cuz I'm so excited for it.

Thomas Recall

Ok so last night Mitch and I were sitting on the couch and I looked down and he had green paint all over his teeth. So of course I freaked and wondered where it came from. Well he dug out a Thomas the train that I put up named Percy. You all may know of this little guy. Well I take it from him and he is screaming train, train, train. I thought I'm tramatizing (sp) my child by taking away all of his trains. So today I look up the recall on the trains to see if I'm being a freak or not. Well sure enough not all of these trains contain the lead paint that is known to be harmful to our children. Not even the blue one (Thomas) that everyone has been freaking about. So I thought I would help some of you Thomas parents and share this recall website with you. http://mastermind.beanfield.com/thomas_recall.pdf

If someone knows of any additional info I gladly welcome it. I'm not ready 100% to give them all back to him to play with incase they do other recalls but I thought it would at least help make me feel better. I hope this is helpful to you!!

Oh and about the green teeth. I'm just going to contine to work with him and disipline him on not chewing on everything in site like a doggy!!!

Wonderful Surprise!

We are smack dab in the middle of our long stretch of Larkin being gone. He will be home next Tuesday evening and will be home for about 3 1/2 days. It was a great surprise on Monday he walked through the door of my shop around 1pm. I was in shocked and of course asked him what the heck he was doing. I knew playing hooky was not going to be the answer because he is so dedicated to work. He had an almost 24 hour lay over in Atlanta so instead of spending the night there he came home to spend the time with us. Mitch was in heaven to see his Daddy!! They had so much fun playing the night way. Mitch acted goofy and showed off all night. He loves his Daddy! It was such a wonderful surprise and makes our time waiting for him to come home not nearly as long.
I must admit I think Larkin was a little surprised at the growth of my belly. It's growing a lot faster than it did with Mitch. This week I'll be 14 weeks pregnant though and am feeling really good. Those mornings of nausea have gone away and my energy is picking up a little. I still want to sleep a lot but it's not nearly as bad as the first 12 weeks. I'm getting the growth muscle aches and pains but they just come and go randomly. I'm loving being pregnant again. I love this feeling!! I can't wait for the baby to come for me to hold a litlte bundle of joy again. I don't have any pictures of my pregnant to date but I'll have Larkin take some next week. We need to get on the ball with picture taking.

Decisions Made

Well my baby appointment yesterday went really good. The heart rate was up to 150. Last time it was only 122 so we think little one was being active yesterday. I've been so hyper and hyped up so it's no wonder little one might have been. I have gained no weight so far. Yippy!! I got through my first tri-mester with no weight gain. One of my test for my cervix was showing a little thin but she was not real concerned considering I had surgery on my cervix. She said my next visit they will check it again. Other than that everything was really good. We get to see what we are having in another 8 weeks.

The decision has been made about my business. We are trying to sell the business and have a potential three buyers. If not then we will close the doors and try and sell as much of the equipment as possible. A buy out would definitely be easier and more cost efficient. I wish I could have just bought a place out that was already set up. It's a lot of work! A lot of thought, consideration, and prayer has gone into the decision. However we still have a LONG way to go with everything. I ask for your prayer, PLEASE!! Please help pray for my sanity and also that everything goes as smooth as possible.
Thank you so much! Hugs!!

Here are very few pics!

The girls breaking it down at another game.

Mitch play with friends!

13 Weeks

As of tomorrow I will be 13 weeks pregnant. Yea!! :) This pregnancy is going by a lot faster than my first with Mitch. I hope I feel that way towards the end also. Today I have a doctors appointment. I'm not sure exactly what they will do at this one. We won't find out till week 20 what we are having. Right now those little body parts are to tiny. Baby has developed his/her arms and legs though. We won't get to see all that today because I'm not due for an ultrasound. Today they will just check stats and all that not so fun stuff.
This is a completely different pregnacy in so many ways. With Mitch I was high risk so I got to see him every 10 days with an ultrasound. With this little one it's completly by faith because I don't get to visually see him/her as often. It is becoming more of a reality though. My belly is starting to grow more and more and I have been feeling a lot of muscle tugs and pulls as my body changes. Sometimes I question if it's just gas (which it probably is.)
Well I would appologize for the rambling but that is what these blogs are for, right? I hope all of you are doing good. Thank you for your comments and letting me know your reading. Sometimes I feel like I'm rambling to no one. LOL!!
Oh and picture taking does decrease the older your children get unless it's a special occasion. I was trying to dig out a picture of Mitch from the month of September and was having no luck. I have cheerleading pictures and that is about it. How pitiful!! I'll work on getting some. Next month is b-day month for Mitch so I'm sure I'll have plenty to share then.

Here we go!

Here we go for another long stretch of Larkin being gone. I'm so tired already and it's only been 3 days. He'll be gone until October 10th. He took up an extra job in Jacksonville, FL on his off days. Well not all of his off days but probably at least 2 times a month. It's really nice extra money and something we need right now. Please pray for me to get through this time.

Our weekend was nice and relaxing. Friday night we went over to a friends house for cooking out around a campfire. Larkin was home so we were able to go as a family. Saturday Mitch and I went to Toys R Us to get his b-day gift and then headed to the new Wegmans. Ok if you have never been in a Wegmans you need to make strong effort to go online and find one close to you. It was awesome! Saturday night my sister and her family were camping (they just got a new camper) so we went over to see them and once again hang out and cook out around a camp fire. Sunday we went to church and then we had a football game that I had to coach at. We wrapped the evening up around 630pm.

My movie watch this weekend was Dream Girls. Not to bad! A typical story of fame and the glamors and unglamors of holywood life style. I probably wouldn't desire to watch it again but would watch it if nothing else was on tv.

Well I think that is it of my life for now. I have my next ob appointment on Wednesday. I think this is just a blood work appointment. I'll be 13 weeks on Thursday so I don't think I'm due for another ultrasound until I'm 20 weeks. We'll see, I'll keep you posted!

Hugs!

Thanks Val!

Thank you Val, you rock!! My friend Val gave me layout sites for blogger templates. Here they are if your interested in customizing. www.pimp-my-profile.com and pyzam.com

To work or not, that is the question, today anyway!!!

Well these are days of not really stress but just a lot of prayers. Seeking what God wants me to do. First let me start off by saying that I love my business. I really do! I love the type of work, the people, the somewhat flexible schedule, and the leasuire to plan and do as I please. However with Larkin being gone 4 out of 7 days a week it has always been a struggle. With just Mitchell my Mom, Sister, and I (and my friend Alison occasionally) make it work but with a baby on the way it makes me very nervous. We have discussed endless avenues and what we are leaning towards is me staying home with the children. It seems to be the only thing that makes sense. It sadens me to let go of what I have worked so hard at for the past 16 months but my heart is being a mother and wife. The success and happiness of my family means more to me than any work every will.

We are still praying about it and I would so appreciate your prayers. I just pray God will give me the wisdom and guidance I need right now. If we make the move to close the shop we will do so before Christmas. We are exploring the option of someone buying me out but no matter what route we go it's going to be WORK and stress!!!

The weekend is approaching!!

This week has been going good so far. My nausea subsided on Wednesday. My horrible head cold/allergies are still kicking a little but but my ob authorized for me to take sudafed which did help a lot. I wanted to post some pictures. The first is of me with somewhat of a baby bump. It's a horrible picture but as good as it gets right now. The guy is my brother in law, Rich. The other picture is of my precious brother, Robbie, and of course Mitchell. Lastly is of my Dad, Robbie, and Mitch. Robbie heads to Iraq in about 2 weeks so please keep him in your prayers. He is in the Marines! We are proud of him and his accomplishments.

Larkin's mom Neva is up visiting right now and keeping Mitch for me this week. It sure is nice to have the company. Tonight is cheerleading, yea! I actually really love it. I love the girls I coach. Ok I guess that is enough rambling. Tomorrow we are headed to Philadelphia for a Women of Faith conference. I'm so excited for it. It'll be nice to get out of town also. Ok that is it, ta ta for now!!!

A Few more Pics!!

I wanted to post a few more pics. I don't know if I do something wrong but I don't do real great with picture posting. Here are more though!

Monday Strikes Again

Ok so maybe it's Mondays. I'm feeling so horrible blah again. I had a bad morning, did not want to get out of bed at all. Mid morning I was good. A good friend stopped in and we chatted while she had breakfast. Lunch time rolled around and I was still feeling ok but tiredness and blah was majorly setting in again. Now I feel I could crawl under the table and crash. Mitch fought a cold all weekend and I'm having that "getting a cold" feeling. Oh the joys of first trimester pregnancy.

Well I got my ring shipped off. Shane Co in GA called me on Saturday to confirm they received the ring. Praise God! Now I'm waiting to hear back from them.

Thanks so much for the pre-natal advice. I think I will call my ob cuz my next appointment is not until the 26th. By then I'll be 12 weeks and almost out of my first trimester. Yea, hopefully the next two are a lot better.

Mitch has been so darn precious. He is just growing like a weed. I can not believe he will be 2 years old in a month. We are in the works of planning his little b-day party. He is getting so tall and has such a fun personality. I included some weekend pics for you. I think he is going to be a Penn State Soccer player.

Crazy Prayer Request

Ok I know this is a crazy prayer request but bear with me. Larkin bought me a beautiful engagment ring on our 4 year wedding anniversary. On each side of my center diamond there are 2 diamonds on each side. One fell out!!!!! I freaked out!! We bought the ring in GA from a company down there and they don’t have any stores in PA so I have to Fedex my ring to them for repair. Thank God it's under warranty and we will get the package insured but I'm still so nervous to send it out. Oh goodness!!

Darn Prenatals

I'm convinced it's my prenatals that are making me ill. I take them at night time like I did with Mitch. On nights I forget to take it I feel fine in the morning. Nights I do take it I wake up feeling beat up. Ok are prenatals not supposed to give you extra energy that the baby takes from you? Why is it that almost every women I know had this same issue?

Thursday, September 6, 2007

Blah!

Oh I'm feeling so blah today. I'm eating some healthy dry Kashi cereal to keep myself from running to the bathroom. Ok this is a totally different pregnancy for me. I did not have this at all with Mitch. But at the same time I was a stay at home wife at the time and did not have the pressure of having to get up to go to work and all that fun stuff. I am tired as all get out. I'm begging Larkin to come in and work my last two hours of the day for me today. I'm sure he will cuz he is sweet like that. I have cheerleading tonight too. Bummer! I would skip but it's parents meeting night.

Ok so about the computer in the home. Yea if I was a stay at home mom and did not have computer access ALL DAY at work it would drive me nuts. However I only get to spend 6 hours (if I'm lucky) with Mitch and Larkin after work before we go to bed. That also includes my time of cooking dinner, cleaning, and doing misc stuff around the house. I know I'm a lot luckier than most working parents cuz 6 hours is a nice amount of time but I just like to enjoy it minus as many distractions as possible. We are getting used to it. OH AND we can only get dial up at our house in the coutry. No DSL!! Yup we are in good 'ol PA. You guys down south thought you were in the boon docks, nope you need to come see where we live. I LOVE IT!!!!

So anybody up for visit? Snow will be here in about 3 months!!!!

So ready!

Boy I have about 1 foot out the door right now. I'm so ready for my 3 day Labor Day weekend. Even though Larkin will be working and my family all heads to FL on Sunday I'm still looking forward to the relaxing time off.

Mitch and I are going to a cook out at a friends house tomorrow, Saturday. Sunday we have a football game (I coach cheerleading.) Then Monday we are going to chill, get some house work done, and then get some shopping done for the shop. Oh I'm so looking forward to the sleep in days. Well all except Sunday cuz of church. Hey I'll take two sleep in days, it's better than none. Now I just pray Mitch sleeps past 630am.

Have a wonderful Labor Day! I'll touch base when I get back. We have kept the internet out of our home so at work is my only online in touch network. Love ya all and enjoy!

Mitch's Earthly Heaven

As many of you know, Larkin, Mitch, and I were in a moving transistion for about a year and a half. One thing that bothered me more than anything was not having a room for Mitch to call his own. I always dreamed about how I wanted to do his nursery. Well now I'm proud to say that he has his own room/play area. He loves it! I know he was to young to understand and never will or care but ya know how it is being a parent and wanting to give them everything you can. He will be 2 in October and is such a happy, playful little guy. I adore him! I just wanted to share pics of his room we did for him. Enjoy!

Oh Baby!

We had a baby appointment yesterday. Everything is looking really great. The baby double in size in the past two weeks which was exciting to see. The heart rate is still real strong and everything looked great. I'll go back in 4 weeks for my next check.

My camera was found. Praise God!!!! One of the guys that played the softball game with us actually had it. Crazy!! Oh I was so stressed over that camera.
Our consignment sale was a huge hit!! We had double the amount of items and double the shoppers as last time. Yea!! Now we are just praying for double the money.

I had a real busy weekend and I'm glad it has come to an end. I started my 530am mornings this week. Up at 530am and to work by 645am. It's early but my day ends earlier at 245pm. I'm hoping it'll give me a chance to get more rest in the evenings.

Here are some recent pics I took of Mitch this weekend.

Crying!

Oh I forgot to tell you. I'm about in tears and sick. On Sunday our mom's group had a softball game. My book bag was left behind that contained my $800+ camera and my $150+ palm pilot. I'm not only lost with out my palm pilot but I am sick in my stomach. I could seriously puke!! I know it's just material items but they are the only two expensive material items I own. We called around every where and have checked with everyone. Eeeeerrrrr!!!

Crazy Begins!!!

Tomorrow my crazy weekend begins. We had a mom's group that started last October. We put together our first consignment sale this past spring and this weekend is our second sale. We are really excited. Our consignors have almost doubled in number. Yea!! Set up is tonight, tomorrow is consignor drop off and the pre-sale, and then Friday and Saturday are sale days. Pray for us (me) that we make it through. :)

I'll post Monday if I don't get a chance before. Thank God for Larkin being home this week/weekend.

I'm Surviving!

Not a bad weekend! My in-laws and Larkin's sisters and nephew came to visit for a few days. You know company is always so much enjoyed but there are certainly times when it's nice to get your home back. Mitch had fun and played his little heart out.

Yesterday our mom's group played a softball game against 94.1kx. It rained cats and dogs but we had so much fun. I didn't play the game but I was a great cheerleader (wink, wink.) Mitch slept during the entire game which is a good thing because he would have been so wet from the rain.

Baby Newby is doing good growing away in my belly. I have been feeling real good with a few naseau waves here and there. I think I am definitly going to be showing eariler than what I did with Mitch, yuck!!

Just a ticken!!

Our ultrasound appointment for baby Newby yesterday went really good. They did a stomach ultrasound and a vaginal. This early along they never see much on a stomach because I have a tilted uterus. My issues!!! On the vaginal we got a great shot at our little raisin. Baby was measureing 6 weeks 5 days and had a nice strong heart rate of 120. They said it appeared to be a normal healthy pregnancy. Yippy skippy!!

The bleeding last Friday came from a blood sack outside of the fetal sack that was no where near the baby or would effect the baby in any way. They said certain ways I sit or move or certain ways the baby moves may cause it to leak. They said it'll either dry up or slowly drain. Crazy but good news.

Here is little ones first official picture. The arrow points to the little one.

Good Results!

Ok I'll make this a quick one. I talked to my ob and my blood work looked really good. Yea!!! Huge stress releif!! I still go for my ultrasound on Wednesday and then another blood work appointment on the 27th. Yea baby Newby is on his/her way. I'm so excited!

Bun in the oven!

Yup you guessed it, Newby Baby #2 is on it's way. Due to arrive early April of 2008. For the past week I have been feeling a little ill and my belly was feeling really tight and bloated. I kept complaining that I needed to start my period or I was going to explode. This past Thursday I was working and could not take it any more. I knew I had to be late with my period and just had to know if I was pregant so I could get it off my mind. So my mom went to buy me a test (since I had to keep working.) Yes I took the lovely test in the bathroom of Mel's Sweets N' Treats. Oh the memories I'll have of this place!! Anyway my mom and friend Angel were here. It took Angel and I both reading to really believe what we were seeing. Yup, a big ol' + sign!!! I of course called Larkin right way.

We are very excited. We were going to start "trying" at the end of the year but at the same time since having Mitchell we have not really done anything to prevent.

On Friday morning I started to bleed a little bit. Of course it freaked me out. I called the dr and the had me come down for blood work and my first round of patoson (sp) shots. One in each butt cheek. Ouch!! This Wednesday I go for an ultrasound. I'm waiting today to hear back about my blood work.

Thoughts and prayers would be super appreciated. We are more than thrilled and excited to have a new Newby baby in the household.

Growing Up Sucks!!

Do you ever feel like hanging yourself because of money? I know it tends to be a real personal issue for some people but honestly so many middle class citizens today are slowly becoming low class because of todays demands and culture. Larkin and I have oil heat in our home and I can not even think about the cost of filling up our tank this winter. Honestly I'm thinking of building a pit in my living room to build a fire in. Either that or Elliott needs to get some hair so he can be a better cuddle dog.

Anyway I'm just having a really bad money day. Do you know how much an electric bill is at a small business that operatates 2 heavy duty freezers, an ice maker, a soft serve machine, an air conditoner, and a few small appliances is a month? Try $400+ for the month of July. Yes that is accurate! So I called our wonderful Pennsylvania Power and Light company to make payment arrangements so I did not fall behind. OH NO, they DO NOT do payments for business. So pay the bill or you get your electric shut off and I can't operate my business which brings in no money to pay the bill anyway. Oh I was hot!!

So I have endulged in some Hershey's Green Mint Ice Cream and I'm feeling a tad bit better. Now I'm going to go count my tips for the past two weeks to see if I can use my play money for bills. Yea, yea!! Talk to ya soon!

This is a picture of the outside of my shop taken last summer. My unit is the one on the far left on the corner.

An AH HA Moment!

I wanted to share something with you. When doing my reading last night in a book called Laughter & Latte by Women of Faith I stumbled upon an incite that I wanted to share. Remember that we are all children of God. No on is perfect and everyone is made different. This means that we will all have different views and do not see eye to eye.

I have personally been experiencing this a lot lately. I was taking it really personal that some people did not see eye to eye with me on some of the visions God was laying on me. I felt they needed to agree with me but what I learned is that it was my vision from God, not theirs. After Pastor Gary’s message yesterday and then finding this, I had an ah ha moment. God said that this is all for HIM, to lay my worries and fears at his feet. That as long as I’m honoring and glorifying him in all that I do, the negative opinions of others do not matter.

So with all the being said I hope this inspires you to live your life for God. Strive to make him your #1. Listen to others and be acceptant of their differences.

True friendships are characterized by
Grace, Truth, Forgiveness, Unselfishness,
Boundaries, Care, and Love in GIGANTIC
and mutual proportions.

Weekend In/Weekend Out

Man weekends go by way to fast now a days. I try to always take of Saturday and Sundays to spend with Mitch. For the month of August Larkin has to work weekends so it's nice Mommy and Mitch time. Yesterday I was off all day but today, Sunday, I had to come in and cover 2 1/2 hours. Not bad but it still breaks up my day.
Yesterday was fun though! We got up bright and early at 530am to head into my sisters to have a big community yard sale. It was fun and we all made out good.
Mitch and I then headed with our mom's group down to Harrisburg for a Three Little Pigs Theater show. Oh my gosh it was so cute!! It was actually acted and performed by 4 actors/actresses. It was a real small theater but it was interacitve and so great for kids. Mitch loved it!
We were home by 4pm and in our pjs. We spent the night cuddling and watching tv. We don't get to do this much and we so enjoyed it. It makes getting up for church so much easier on Sundays also. I need to promise myself to do this more on Saturday nights.
We didn't take any pics at the theater so I don't have any to share. Sorry!! It was a great enjoyed day.

Ok so you know I have to always promote right. Hehehehe, lol!! I'm part of this kick but mom's group. Mom's With a Purpose

We are mom's of all back rounds and such. Some of us stay at home, some work part time, and some work full time. Some work 2 jobs some have brown hair, some have blonde. Ok so your getting the point right. We are all different but we all have a few things in common. We love God and we love our children. This girls have been so good for me since moving back to PA. I love them.

We are getting ready for our fall consignment sale. If you live in PA, check it out. These girls put a lot of passion into it and we love doing this for our community. I'll share a picture with you of some of the girls in the group. This is not all of them but it's some.
