Growing Up Is Hard To Do

Well my swap challenge this week to complete was a Growing Up swap. I completed a newborn 0-5 page and a age 6-12 page. I still have another 6-12 to do but plan to work on that one this weekend. The "My Star" page is the 6-12 age group and the train is the newborn-5 age group. I used my Cricut for both layouts. The "My Star" page I used the George and Basic Shapes cartridge and the train page I used the New Additions cartridge.
Tomorrow it's back to work and then on Saturday I'll be at an all day crop. I'm very much looking forward to it.

My sweet Mitchell turns 3 tomorrow so I wanted to include a picture of him. I took this today of him hugging his dog, Elliott. So sweet!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY BIRTHDAY BOY!!

Color Swappin'

I participated in a 12x12 color page swap. Basically we had to create 12x12 layouts using one color as our theme. I did two sets, an orage and blue. I kept them simple so it would allow people to add any size pictures.

Oh yea and I can never pass up the chance to share a picture of one of my beautiful children. This is my sweet Marshall that just turned 6 months old. He rocks!!

Finally some pics!

Well I'm finally getting a chance to post a few pics from our Disney vacation. We spent 5 days at Disney and then 4 days on the Disney Wonder Cruise ship. We went to Nassau and Castaway Cay. The next pics I share will be pics of my scrapbooking the trip. I'm just going to add a few since it takes awhile to upload them and arrange. I took TONS so it would be next to impossible to share all of them.

This is one of my favs. We went to have breakfast with Jo Jo and Little Einsteins. It was really cute and Mitch loved it.

Is vacation really over?

We got back from vacation a week ago but it feels like forever. We had such a fabulous time and really enjoyed ourselves. I promise I'll post pictures soon. I do have some on my myspace page. We expected the boys to have multiple breakdowns but they seriously did so awesome. Mitch would be a little quiet at times when he was getting sleepy but that was about it. We just operated on Mitch and Marshall time and it worked perfect. I can not say enough about Disney Cruise Lines. All I can say is GO!!!! It was the most wonderful experience we absolutely loved it. Castaway Cay was beautiful, so secluded, and private. The boys loved the beach and it was a wonderful relaxing day. We did visit Nassau as well and enjoyed our day site seeing and shopping there.

I'll post pics soon!

Borders Galore

I am falling in love with border exchanges. Mainly because I like to and my own personal touch to scrapbook pages but I also love to get inspiration for others. These exchanges let me add my touch plus still participate in swaps. These are two sets I created for a baby boy border set swap. The rule was to create 2, 12x12 borders, 2 accent pieces, 1 journal box, and a surprise piece. The surprise could be a photo box, another accent pieces, journal box, etc. I had a blast making these and completed both sets (4 sets each, 8 total) in one night.

Tonight we leave for Baltimore and then in the morning we are headed to FL for our vacation. Please pray we don't get swept away by a hurricane. We will be at Disney Saturday-Thursday and then go on our cruise Thursday-Sunday. It's a much needed vacation and we are very much looking forward to it.

Have a great week and I'll check in when we return with lots of pictures.

Dutch Wonderland, Our Perfect Day!

Larkin is gone on a 4 day trip and my sister's husband is away for 2 weeks with the Army. So my mom wanted to treat us and our boys to a fun day out. We headed to Dutch Wonderland in Lancaster. We had such a PERFECT day!! The boys were honestly so good and had so much fun. It's definitely a kingdom for children! Grant was able to ride everything at the age of 5 and Mitch was able to ride everything except maybe a hand full of rides. They even had a water area for us to cool off. I would suggest for anyone that lives any where close by to GO. It took us 1 hour and 20 minutes from where we live in Millerstown. The drive was not bad at all.
Thank you Mommy for a great day!

Hint, Hint!

You can post as many times as you would like on my blog candy blog, hint, hint!!!

Jaimie, I have the small bug also and love it. I would like to try the larger one but don't see the need for it yet. Brandi, I'm old fashion. I do scrapbooking traditional style. I enjoy using "bling" and can not accessorize the way I want through digital. I love using flowers, brads, fibers, stamps, etc. It's my new thing and also my therapy to sit down and create pages. I spend enough time on the computer. If I did digital, my laptop would never leave my lap!! However I know CM has a fabulous digital line if digital is for you.

Here are some projects from the past 2 days. I'm in a Disney tag swap and completed these tags. I had to make 9 of each but they went by really fast. They were fun to do.

Next is a card swap I did for a swap I'm hosting. I altered this a zillion times and am still not 100% excited with it but I'm still new on the card making stuff. I'm still building my supply so I get frustrated when I don't have something I need to complete a card. Oh well boo hoo for me right. LOL!!!!
After doing my tags and cards I'm ready to get back to my scrapbook pages. I think I'll work on some Thursday night. Tomorrow night we are going to see the American Idol tour in Philly.

First Blog Candy!

Well here it is. The blog for my first blog candy. All you have to do to enter to win it is simply leave a comment. Comment as many times as you would like. The winning number has already been picked so I'm going to reveal the winner on Wednesday (that is if the lucky number has been reached.) I will count down from the top comment to receive the winning name. The comment must be left on this post not any others.

Now I have been asked why I'm doing this. Simply because it's FUN!! I do not make money from you visiting my blog. I just simply appreciate you taking the time to look at my blog. That is it!! I like to receive free goodies and I know you do to. So that is it, JUST FOR FUN!!

I took pictures of the items but they did not turn out real great. This will give you and idea of what you'll be receiving. Also after the winner is revealed I'll ask you if your scrapbook, make cards, both or non of the above. Based on your answer I'll include 1-2 premade items for you.
Good luck and comment away!!

What I have been up to!!

So what have I been up to. Lets see, crafting of course, a baby parade, shots today with Marshall, and my brother moving in with us. My brother returned from Iraq and will be staying with us a few weeks. Our local carnival started on Monday. There is always a baby parade to kick of the carnival. This years theme was animals on safari so we got my brother in laws tractor decked out and had a great time dressing the kids for it.

Craft wise, I have been getting my supplies and goodies together for our PA Shoebox Swap this Saturday. I made my SCS card for the troops tonight. Might redo, not sure if I like it. The BOO page is for my SCS October Secret Sister. I figure you can never get enough of pre-made pages.

Of course I have to include a sweet picture of my boys hanging out today. Mitch was helping Marshall play with is little jungle toy.

So Close!

My blog counter is so close to 100 which means blog candy is soon going to be posted. So what I'll do is post a picture of what the lucky blog reader will receive. All you have to do is post a comment in that particular blog and you have the chance to win. I'm going to have my DH secretly pick a number 5 days after the blog is posted that will reveal who wins. He will not read the blog and will not know who has posted where or what. Whatever number he chooses will be the comment number (counted from the top down) that wins the blog candy. I'll mail you your special gift as a thanks to you for being a reader.

Have a great night!!

Back in the swing!

Well I'm back in to my creative swing. On Saturday I finished up a 12x12 Monkey Swap. I made this monkey several years ago when I was a Creative Memories consultant. I hosted a class and made it with all the girls. It was so cute I decided to do a repeat and make it for a swap. I had to make 5 of the little buggers but it was fun.

Today I made a card for a friends b-day. I used a new piggy stamp I got and had fun with it. She likes pink so it allowed me to use up some pink supplies that I normally don't use in my boys scrapbooks. It's hard to see in the picture but I used a technique I saw on another blog. I put a stickles glob in the middle of the silk flower. It gave it a really pretty sparkle.

Tonight I'm working on some patriotic pages for a swap. I'm adding more detail than I thought I was going to so I'm gonna have to finish them up tomorrow night. I have been up since 430am with a throwing up DOG so I need to catch some zz's since both boys are asleep.

Have a great day!
