Cuddles Celebrates Baby

Friday I needed a quick baby card and was disappointed to find that I did not have a boy one in stock. So today I decided to make one up so I would not run into the same problem next time I'm in need of one. I thought it would be a cute idea to use Cuddles Gift from Ildi Co Digital Stamps. Cuddles can be found at Ildi Co Digital Stamps on the web. The link can also be found on my left side bar. I used SU! sentiments and all paper is Bazzill. Ribbon and buttons are from various companies.

A Few of My Favorite Things - CCC9

For our 9th Crafty Critters challenge we were to create something that showed who we were as crafters. I thought wow, this is perfect!!

We are in the works of packing to move and along with packing boxes there are a lot of odds and ends with utility companies, contractors, and such that require taking notes. Well I have been putting everything on those lovely little sticky notes but I know I'm going to loose them. So I decided to create a moving composition book to keep track of all my notes. Easy to find a book vs little sticky notes.

My favorite flower is daisies so I thought I would shower the book with this lovely little flower. My favorite embellishments are brads and ribbon. I also like to add a touch of glitter when I can. My name is glitter chipboard letters. When I was introduced to Cuddles Fleur from Ildi Co Digital Stamps (the store is now open) I knew I wanted to feature him on the front cover.
I'm now a Design Team member for Ildi so make sure you check out their blog and check back on mine for more Cuddles images. Oh yea and go buy some to download and play with yourself. ;-) Scroll down on my blog to see how you can receive a Cuddles card for FREE!!

My GREAT News!!

I have received the honor of being selected to be on the Design Team for a new online digital stamp company. The online store is not up yet but I'm going to be teasing you with some super cute images until it is. Ildi Co is owned by Jenny and her sister in law Ildi is the wonderful, talented creator of these fabulous images. I encourage you to check out their blogs. The rest of our design team is listed on my side bar.

Jenny and Ildi are offering a free image to kick off the intro of Cuddles. Email Jenny at jlaszlo4@gmail.com to request a free copy of the sweet Cuddles image you see below.

My offer to you!!! Would you like to receive this card sent to you for free??? Leave a comment!! On August 7th I'll select a random winner. Enjoy!!!

Love You Tons

I have had this Studio G $1 stamp sitting in my stamp drawer for quiet some time. The other day my youngest DS decided to empty the draw and this was the last one I put my hands on as I put them all back in the drawer. I thought I would ink it up for the first time and attempt to make a anniversary card for DH. It's a tad girly so I might change it up but I like the image.

Happy Space Day!!

I joined a digital blogging group on SCS and am really enjoying all the girls company. We basically encourage each other with using digital images. Everyone has been a great resource providers for companies to find digital companies online.

Our first challenge was to create a card using green, black, and white. I found this cute alien by Digital Delights. His name is Alien Andy. Is he not so super cute!!!!!

Products: I used my Copics and Bic Mark Its to color in Alien Andy. I embelished with green eyelets, prima flowers, and buttons. (3 of my fav embelishments) the checkered paper is from Creative Memories and the green paper is from Bazzill. The sentiment is a creation I typed up on my computer.

Robot, Robot!!

Mysweetsix (Natalie) on SCS hosted a boy and girl border set swap. I joined the boy group and decided to go with a Robot theme. My oldest son LOVES robots so I knew I would have enough in stock to create enough sets. I ended up using the robot set from Cosmo Cricket. I fell in love with it and purchased the entire line when it first came out.
The stamp on the one photo mat is from Stamping Bella and is called giga WATT. He comes with 3 sentiments and is so fun to work with.
Each set of borders is a little different so I posted a picture of two different sets that I created.

So in love!!

So I know I say it over and over again how much I love card kit swaps. Thank you Colleen (cspangler) for hosting a b-day card kit swap. I'm always in need of b-day cards and always run short on ideas.

Products: I used all the elements inside of the card kit so I'm not sure on the manufacter of the products. However I used my copics and prisma markers to color the cupcake in. I then did the icing on the top with crystal stickles.

Disney Swap - Epcot Page

I created this 12x12 single page layout for an SCS friend's Disney Swap. I got the Design Studio about a month ago and have not really had a chance to play with it. So I thought I would try to make a title and weld it together. It actually was really easy to do and I think turned out pretty sharp.

MG10 - Digital Creation

This my first time participating in an online challenge. MyGrafico has a challenge to create a brown and teal card. It was optional to use an image of theirs but I thought what the heck, why not. They have some of the most amazing digital stamps on the web. The one I used is actually a freebie so you can jot over to their site and download it yourself.
Make sure you also check out Stephanie and Martha's blogs. They are DigiChick bloggers with me and always have great creations. They are also on MyGrafico's design team.
Thanks for the great challenge!!

DaydreamaBella I missed you!

Last night at 11pm I could not get to sleep because I wanted to spend some time crafting. I could not get it off my mind. So I decided to ink up my DaydreamaBella because I was missing inking up stamps after working with digi images for the past few weeks. You can tell I was tired because my inspiration was running short. However I could not fall asleep so I had to satisfy my craving!!

Wednesday Play Time

I had a real hard time focusing and finishing up this swap. I'm in a Disney accent swap on SCS. I decided to do Eeyore so I could use my Pooh font Cricut cartridge that I hardly use. My 3 year old wanted to play with moonsand tonight so while he was content playing I had some craft time and finished up Eeyore's set.

I saw this sketch in a Creating Keepsakes magazine and wanted to give it a go. I'm sorry, I used scraps to I'm not sure who all the products are by. The flower and sentiment stamp are both SU!

Lenny Loader

Here is Lenny Loader:
The inside of the card reads: Hope you have LOADS of fun on your special day. Happy Birthday!

I'm a week behind with my Sunshine's digital image release. Last week Lenny Loader was released. This is a great image for boys b-days, invitations, etc. With having two boys of my own I'm sure I'll find lots of use for it in the future.

Sunshine's link can be found on my right side bar. Check her out for some great talent.

So last week I purchased the Bic Mark It markers. I have been discouraged with my supply of Copics and unfortunately my finances have not allowed me to make a large investment in them. At a shoebox swap I attended one of the girls had the Bic markers. I gave them a try and surprisingly was pleased with them. So after doing some research I discovered that you could purchase a box of 36 for around $11-15. Tonight was my first time giving them a go with Lenny Loader. I'm happy with the large range of colors this pack offers. I have 7 different shades of green, 5 different shades of blue, 4 different shades of purple, etc. It's great!! I purchased mine from Staples for about $12. They are definitely worth the small investment. Of course nothing out beats my Copics and Prismas but these are a great substitute.

A Little Sweetness

I received this adorable digi image from Victoria Case Art Stamps several weeks ago and have been dying to use her. I'm now in love with her and can't wait to print her off and use her again. I wish I could remember her sweet name.
Thank you Vicatoria's for the great image!

Angus the Airplane

My husband is a pilot so any time we see something aviation related we are automatically addicted. My friend Julie on SCS had this airplane on her blog. Thanks to her for letting her followers know where to find him.

Thank you Sunshine's Stamps for providing this fabulous Digi Image, Angus. You can find other great talents on her blog.
I'm sure you'll see him flyin' around my blog a lot this weekend as I play around. The first one I did is a military theme. I used my Copics and Prisma markers to color him in. The paper is (I think) from Creative Memories. I then accented with gold star brads and ribbon.
Meet Angus:

My second card for today is from a card kit swap I hosted. I can never get enough of Riley and Sophie.

CCC7

Our 7th Crafty Critter challenge was to create a 3-D item that SCREAMED summer. I'm not used to creating altered projects so this was a true challenge for me. I was excited to play and I ended up creating a goodie box to give to my secret sister at church. I plan to stuff it with some sweet treats. Hope you enjoy, sorry if it's amature, it's a first for me.

CCC6

Our 6th challenge in our Crafty Critters blog group was hosted by Megrod. She came up with a wonderful idea to honor National Scrapbook Month in May. Even though we are a tad late getting this going we thought it was never to late to celebrate one of our favorite craft times.

So Challenge 6 is to do a page about you to your kids. It can be about your you met their dad, your favorite wedding picture, a poem or letter to them, a page about things you like to do with them or for them, about things you love nowadays, so that the kids can look thru their albums and say...this is what my Mom used to like when she was however old, etc....hope all this makes senseThe only catch is...you have to be the main feature of the picture. Your children want to see what your hairstyle was like, the clothes etc you were wearing. I think we often forget to Scrap ourselves.
For me this was GREAT!!! I had these pictures from work and have been trying to find a way to fit them into our family books. So this was perfect! I loved it so much that I ended up creating a double page spread. The first page pictured is the one one for our challenge.
My journaling reads: The best job I have ever had is being a mommy to Mitchell and Marshall. In June 2008 I received a job offer outside of the home. After much though and a lot of talking Larkin and I made the decision for me to work part time at the Pennsylvania Federation of Sportsmen's Clubs. It's a job I love but it also allows me to make my family top priority. My job at PFSC is different from day to day and I love the challenges it presents. It even allows me to work from hom at times. Right now it's offering me the best of both worlds.

Journaling reads: The Sportsman Channel hosted a shoot at Harrisburg Hunters and Anglers for the legislators. They are one of our business affiliates. Harrisburg Hungers and Anglers is one of our clubs.
This was my first time ever shooting a gun. My instructors were wonderful and patient. Despite my nice bruise I had a great experience.

Card Kits Galore!!

Ok I have decided that more people need to host card kit exchanges on SCS. They are so wonderful and there is nothing like having all the elements to make fabulous cards already in one place for you already coordinated. Sometimes I find myself putting 3-4 kits together in one night. My supply is getting low real quick!!!

My first card is of a Fella from Stampin' Bella. I didn't color him in and now I'm wishing I did. I might have to go back and do it. I was trying to make a card that was not so "bright" since it is a "man" card.

Second is sweet Bella. This was my first image I ever saw through Stamping Bella and fell in love with her. Is she not just so sweet!!

Here is my fella now colored in. I can't help it, I like color on my images. There are very few that I find look better without some sort of color. Even if it's just stickles to give a little "bling."

Enjoy your day!

Digital Stamps

A few weeks ago I started reading about people using digital stamps. I was very curious and started to read and explore different digital images. Thanks to a blogging friend, Jaspere (check out her blog), I'm now addicted!!!! Dustin Pike offers free images on Wednesdays so it's a great way to try images before you purchase some and discover you don't like working with them.

My fears were how would they print, would the printer ink bleed, would my Copics make the image bleed, would I be able to print them in different sizes, how would my print quality be. All these fears were answered with using the free images and two nights ago I purchased my first digital image. If you do your research you can find some really cute images for $1-3. Some are a little more expensive and some you can buy in sets to receive a discount.

This image is from Dustin Pike's site. The sentiment is from SU!.

Enjoy!

I have once again been having a lot of fun with card kits. The first of Iggy is a stamp I normally would not buy or use but I think he is actually really cute. The second is from MFT. I really need to start investing in these. I really loved working with her and now have an itch to working with MFT some more.

Scrapbook Pages (x2)

I was really in scrapbooking mode today. I received some wonderful page kits from swaps I have been in along with premade pages and wanted to put some to use. Here are some pictures of projects I worked on today.

This is the page at the begining of our 2008 family book. I thought the title was fitting since we had our youngest son in 2008.

I wanted to create a double page layout similar to the once SU! featured on the insert page of the frog page kit. So this is my version of it. I also used it to create a single page layout for a swap I'm in.

The first picture is the left side and the side I created for the swap I'm in. The second is the right side of my own personal double page set I created.

Two in one day!

I have been so into card kit swaps lately. Mainly because I can think and develope one card design in my head but get back several different. Here are some I worked on over the Memorial day holiday.

I loved the color combos in this kit. I created as a b-day card for one of the middle school boys in our mom's group. I used my Cuttlebug to emboss the green card stock.
This little guy is one of my new loves. This kit had enough supplies for me to made several cards so I went ahead and popped out two.

Sorry to the girls who put these wonderful kits together for not giving you credit. I need to keep track better of who does what.

Trying New Things!

I'm not very adventerous when it comes to new projects. However when traceyc0103 had an open swap for post it note holders I decided to give it a shot. I have seen these done and thought they looked really pretty and easy to do.

I completed two different sets but this is just the picture of my first one.
