Blogger #3 Challenge #5

In our blogger group we had a Valentines Day Challenge. Here it is:

**Create a VALENTINE's day card for the one you love (whether it is your spouse, your child, your parent, your significant other... whoever it is!). These are the rules: 1. You must use at least TWO (2) hearts on your card (more is fine, and they don't have to match). 2. You must use at least TWO (2) shades of red OR a red and a pink. 3. There must be some type of bling or glitter.**
I decided to use pink as my colors since I don't use it that often with having two boys. My stamps are both from Stampin Up. I used stickles to accent my heart in the world love and then placed pink rhinestones throughout the heart border. Simple but I did not want to over do it. I kept trying to put a pink bow on it but it just was not flowing.

Swap Crazy!!!

So guess what my weekend plans are, NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so looking forward to a full Saturday in with my boys. I'm planning to get a lot of crafting done. My SCS swap has been overwhelming to me so it feels great to be getting caught up. Tonight I worked on a card challenge and also a boys embellishment swap. I'm bushed so I thought I would hang it up for the night and jump in tomorrow. I have a rolodex swap I want to get finished up. I started it tonight cutting out all the elements, now I just need to put them together. I also have our Sassy Stampers challenge to work on so that will be my first project of the day.

My card I created is actually cased from a shoebox swap I attended in the fall. I used this as my challenge for our weight loss group but I missed a key element. It was supposed to be created on glossy paper. So I goofed up but was successful at creating a card tonight. :)

I've been tagged, now I'm tagging some people!!

Kristin has sent me a challenge. Here are the rules:Go to where you store your photos on your computer. Go to the SIXTH folder and pick the SIXTH photo. Post that photo on your blog along with a SHORT story about it. Tag SIX people and leave a comment on their blog or email them letting them know you chose them. Here is a little bit about my picture and then I'm off to tag six people

This is a picture of my sweet 3 year old Mitchell. He wanted me to put a bandaid on his cheek because he had a booboo (one of those invisible booboos.) He then wanted me to take a picture of him so here it is. :)

Blogger 3 Challenge 4

For this challenge, we were to do a double trouble challenge...meaning we needed to use two colors plus a neutral, two different embellishments, and two different stamps.
I used green and blue for my two colors and white as my neutral. The two embelishments I used are ribbon, a paper flower and a rinestone brad. I used a bella image and a new sentiment I just purchased.

Scrap Weekend!!

I had such a great weekend in scrapbooking. I stayed away from card making so I would not break my focus on what I have been dying to work on. I got a total of 14 pages done in my family 12x12 and only 1 8x8 page done in my in laws book.

The 8x8 pages I created were done with a page kit I received from my secret sister on SCS. I loved this kit so much. It was a zoo theme but I took it and used it for our Disney's Animal Kingdom pictures. This is a double page layout for in my in law's yearly book.

My buddy Riley

I love purchasing scrapbook kits for my scrapbook pages. I love that everything is together in one package and coordinates so well together. Last night while I was working on my 9 month old's baby book I started to have visions of a Riley card with my left over scraps. So I put aside my scrapbooking and whipped up this card. The only thing I feel could have been better is to coordinate the color of the couch better with the designer paper. The rest of the products, minus the eyelets, are out of a kit I purchased off of addictedtoscrapbooking.com. I think the name of the kit is Theodore. I was working with two different kits last night and I'm pretty sure this one was that one.

Thinking of You

Weekend LOTWs

I signed up for a LOTW inspiration swap but really had trouble finding "inspiration" for them. I finally just took the word and tried to think of how I would use it as a title on a page and went from there.
The first is the letter L for the word Laugh. Second is the letter B for the word Believe. I really wanted to do an angel for this one but it was not coming together.

You know are family is huge Disney fanatics so I find myself always being drawn back to Disney swaps. This is a LOTW Disney swap. This letter is for the word Donald. I have many more categories to do but just got a head start with this one.

Craft Weekend!

This past weekend was nice to be able to get some crafting done. I completed a page swap and also worked on some LOTWs (letters of the word).

For my page layout I used the Bazzill Swiss Dots as my card stock base. I love this great paper. I then used a sheet of DP out of the Nanni's Grandchildren K&Company paper pack. I accented with magic mesh on my title block and stamped a journal block on the right side page. On the left I accented with ribbon and a title square. It was a fun cute layout to do. The pictures turned out sorta crappy.

Have a Sunshiney Day!

A sweet friend of mine treated me to a bella and some other goodies for Christmas. I have been so excited to ink her up but have not had the time to "play." So tonight I took the much needed time after taking down the tree and scouring the house.
I love working with bellas. I think mainly because she portrays my personality in so many ways. Now I'm not that skinny but add some pounds to her and we are good to go.
I'm still working on building my copics collection. I also use Prismas that I really like. I need to get a blending pen so I can make things softer. Overall I'm happy with how they turned out.

Blogger #3 Challenge #3

Well here it is, our 3rd challenge for our Blogger 3 group. This is only the second one I participated in but really enjoyed it.
This was a sketch challenge where we had to follow a layout that Tanja (tanjat67) set up for us. We then had to use 2 different patterned paper, Christmas ribbon, and a stamped Christmas theme image.
I used K&Company Christmas patterned paper, my Inkadinkado Penguin stamp set, stickles, accented with rhinestones and use a green and red ribbon.
So here it is:
