Wags' n Whiskers - Just For You

This week on my Critter Challenge Blog Stamp and Create is sponsoring our challenge. I am so impressed with this company and all the wonderful products it has to offer. If you enter the Critter Challenge by the close of the evening tonight, Saturday, you will be entered to win a $15 gift certificate from Stamp and Create.

This card was created using a Spring Time Fun release image, Just for You by Wags' n Whiskers on Stamp and Create. I just love him!!! I used Our Creative Corners's sketch for this week. Great, fun sketch!!!
I stumbled upon a new favorite blog, Basic Grey Challenges. I LOVE Basic Grey products so this site has already been added to my favorites. The challenge for this week was to use the colors lemon, pink, and maroon. To be entered to win the give a way on the blog you must use some Basic Grey products. My back round paper and the yellow and pink squares are both by Basic Grey. My brads are also Basic Grey. The button is by Doodlebug and the ribbon and flowers are from misc companies.

Tree Card Kit

As mentioned in my post yesterday; last weekend I facilitated a two day crop. This is another one of the cards I assembled from a card kit.

Double Day Crop

Last weekend I held a two day crop with our mom's group. Since I facilitate and organize the entire crop I normally don't get much of my own personal work done. This time I decided to take only card kits with me to work on. I ended up getting 9 cards completed. Not nearly as many as I would like for a two day crop but hey I was a busy girl with other things. ;-)
Here are some of my creations!!

Mimosa Watering Can

This week Paper Jewels is sponsoring Paper Sundaes weekly challenge. The challenge is to distress your cards or altered paper project. You can go wild and tear your paper or tone it down with some inking on your edges. As you can tell I decided to ink my edges. The challenge closes on Saturday so you still have a few days to play along.
You can visit Paper Jewels site to purchase this adorable Mimosa image. There is an entire line of wonderful images. She is now taking pre-orders for Ching-Chou and Kiuks Fantasy Art collection. Jenny has a wonderful store and her customer service is TOP NOTCH!!!
I also used OWH Stars and Stamps sketch. I loved using this sketch because it gave the dimensions for the pieces to cut. So easy!! Lastly I created it for Quirky Crafts Challenge. Their challenge this week was to create a "Cute" item. That is not hard to do with a precious Mimosa image.

Go Green

Our Crafty Critters Blog Group had an "Are You Green" challenge. You could spruce it up for St Pats Day or celebrate any way that you Go Green. So I decided to use this precious digi image from Stretch and Bubbles; his name is Steve Go Green.

My layout I used the sketch from my Critter Sketch Challenge Blog. Hop over to enter to win a Surprise Give A Way!!

The DP is DCWV and the card stock is SU!. I used my Copics and Prismas to color Steve. The Go Green logo is computer generated. The brads are misc brads I used from my stash.

Girly Dragon

I'm so excited that I finally got a chance to play along in one of Dustin Pike's challenges. Dustin's images are the first digis I ever tried and fell in love with them from day one. So when I found out he was launching a challenge blog I got really excited. This weeks challenge is a fun one, create a "Girly" card. Dustin has a lot of dragons and such so often they tend to be more boy cards. So this was a fun challenge!!! You can find Dustin's link on my left side bar or you can just click HERE.

Secondly, I participated in Eat Sleep Stamp sketch challenge. I stumbled across this blog from a fellow crafter and really like it.

Thanks for the two great challenge.

Have a great day!!

Play Time

I hosted a Cricut swap on SCS a few months ago. An SCS friend, Nancy, offered to take this round off my hands and enjoy hosting a round herself. I was happy to wrap these up a few days ago and thought they turned out cute. This was not my original layout that I was going to do but when I purchased the Child's Year cart for Christmas I knew I wanted to use it for this swap.

Our 19th Crafty Critters challenge was hosted by our girl Kelly (hugs to ya Kelly.) She challenged us to use non traditional Valentines red colors and layer it up.

Recipe Swap

This was a first for me, I joined a recipe exchange swap. The theme was "One Pot Dishes." We were to create a recipe card as a 6x6 page. I'm excited to start a fun little recipe book with the recipes I get back.

Sweet Winter

Here in PA we have gotten 30+ inches of snow within the past week. Even though its causing a lot of delays and cancellations in our area, the winter white sure is beautiful.
I thought today I would ink up this sweet little Sugar Nellie images for the first time. I used Sweet Sketch Wednesday for my sketch inspiration and La-La Land Crafts challenge. La-La Land's was to use no DP which was a really fun challenge.

Steal a Kiss

This week while building my sponsors for my new Critter Sketch Challenge blog, I was introduced to Lacey and Stamp and Create. I have found a new love, their wonderful, awesome store. She not only offers a wide range of wonderful images but she also has her own line called Wags n' Whiskers. They are so stinkin precious!!!
So today I got my first order in and could not waste one second. I cut this sweet image out and mounted it so I could quickly ink it up. This image is called Steal A Kiss.
On top of all of this, today they had a release party. So hop over to their blog to check out all the action. (click here for blog)

With this card I also played along in several challenges.
The sketch was inspired from Friday Sketchers Blog
The color combo (pink, blue, and yellow) was inspired from Character Cafe
and
The bling/dazzle was inspired by Clearly iStamp and Fussy & Fancy Friday Challenges

Mimo with Roses

This images, Mimo with Roses, captured my heart the moment I laid eyes on him. I love his sweet little face!! I also love that this line of Bildmalarna images has little boys. With having two boys of my own I'm always in search of adorable boy images to make cards and scrapbook pages with. Paper Jewels has such a wonderful line of images that I just adore.

I also prepared this card for Creative Belli Blog, Creative Inspiration's Blog, and Little Red Wagon's Blog Challenges. The challenges were to use ribbon, use left overs, and use the color red. Check out their blogs to play along. You know we all just LOVE challenges!!!

In Honor

I participated in Kelly Jo's Challenge. Her challenge this week was in honor of a military friend that just got home from serving in Iraq. I thought how perfect, I have a brother in law that I'm very proud of that serves in the Army National Guard and is a wonderful husband and family man to my sister and nephew. Second but certainly not last is my girl April. She has been a wonderful, supportive military wife to her high school sweetheart for many years. Rodney is a fire fighter in the Air Force. I'm so very proud of all of them and loved taking this challenge.
Second you know how much I LOVE sketch challenges so I hopped over to 2 Sketches 4 You to play along with this weeks sketch.

Double Challenge

This card was created for a double challenge. First is for Paper Jewels which is where this sweet little image is from. The challenge for this week (and the first challenge on the new blog) was to create a cute and girly card. I don't think you can get any more cute and girly when you use one of these sweet images. Click here to hop over and play along in their first challenge. There is a prize to be won!!!

The second challenge was for 2 Red Bananas. I just stumbled across this blog and am loving it. It's so super cute!! The challenge for Sunday was to create a card that you used stamping as your back round instead of patterned paper. This was a great challenge for me because I often do not think outside of the box when it comes to using different color inks. Click here to hop over and play along.

VSD2 Challenge Creations

This card is for our second challenge for our Crafty Critter VSD2. The challenge was to create a card that had something old, borrowed, blue, new. The baby in the image is my something new, the borrowed is the actual image, it was given to me by a friend. The new is the paper and flower embellishment and the blue is quiet obvious. Awesome, fun challenge!!
Our first challenge for our VSD2 was to create a card that only used 1 piece of card stock and gave the illusion of layers. Not sure how great I did on this one but here its.

Happy VSD#2 Crafty Critters

Today is my Crafty Critters gals and I's VSD#2. We are so excited to spend the day together virtual scrapping and card making. As a kick off, we are all creating a challenge card and posting it on our blogs at 10am EST on Sunday, December 7th. So to view the other creations check out my right sidebar for the other CC blog addresses.
So our challenges was to create a boy card in honor of all the boys/men celebrating Superbowl Sunday. It can be any kind of boy card, as long as it's boy/men focused. For the challenge we also had to incorporate at least two other challenges from other blogs of your choice and no bling on your card (hopefully my flowers won't disqualify me.)
So, I used the sketch layout from Kraftin' Kimmie's Korner. Kimmie is celebrating her b-day so the challenge was to create a b-day card using the sketch she featured. My second challenge is from One Stop Craft Challenge. Their challenge was a color challenge. We were to use Apple Green, Chocolate and Clotted Cream. Hopefully what I used is acceptable. I love this color combo!!!
On a last note, I love to visit The Daily Dare. Deb Felts makes post EVERY DAY, informing her followers of where to find challenges for that day. How amazing, right??? Hop over and check her out.

Head of the Class

During our snow storm this weekend I'm enjoying our time in. I have some swaps I need to play catch up with so that is my plans for the next two days. WHOO HOO!!! This is a border set I created for a swap that I'm actually hosting on SCS. It's a title border swap so whatever title you choose, that title needs to be on one of the borders you create. This was fun and simple!! I used my Cricut to cut out the apple, start, and scalloped square. The images is a digi from Sweet and Sassy. I used stickles to accent the leaf on the apple.

Time to Relax - MTSC59

Good Morning!! I'm excited to make my first Paper Jewels design team post.
This week I had a wonderful time playing with my new Bildmalarna images. This little gal is Mimosa's Cafe. She can be found on the Paper Jewels website.

I also used Mercy's Tuesday sketch (MTSC59) for my sketch layout for this post. I love this blog that I stumbled upon. Thanks Mercy for the great layout.

Make sure you check out the Paper Jewels blog for more wonderful post from earlier in the week. Check back tomorrow for Colleen's wonderful creation.
