Wishing You a Merry Christmas

This post is going to be quick today as I'm packing and getting my family ready for our trip to Disney tomorrow. I thought I would celebrate heading to the warm south with some winter cards. You know me, I love my card kits. I love how I can make 3 different cards with the same kit. The only thing I added was the snowflake CB embossed paper.
I thought this image was cute!!

SC254 - Ildi Friday

We spent a wonderful Thanksgiving in NC with my husbands family. We are getting ready to head home so this will be a quick post. I used SC254 from Splitcoast Stampers. This is my second time using this sketch, I really like it. The image is from Ildi Co Digital Images. The link for Ildi is on my sidebar. The last I checked they are running at buy 2 get 1 free digi image special. Hope over and check it out.

I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!!

SC255

I'm so far behind on my Christmas cards. I thought I would make a goal for the next 3 weeks to make 10 cards a week but I'm not doing very good for staying on track. Especially since next week we'll be at Disney. This is one I assembled tonight. I used Spiltcoast Stampers SC255. This is one of my favorite sketches in a long time.

The image is one of Ildi Co Digi Images Snoplas. This little guy comes in an entire line of Snopal images and are totally cute. You'll be seeing more of him in the next week. Ildi is currently running a buy 2 get 1 free special at their online store. I'm not sure how long it will last so you might want to hop over and take advantage of this fun deal.

My card stock is from Stampin' Up. I believe it's one of the colors for the new in colors. I'm not totally sure on that though.

Two Peas in a Bucket is one of my new favorite online stores. Check them out!! They have a ton of great sales and just about every product under the sun. Their shipping is low and the site is easy to navigate around. Are you always looking for the best deals on the net? Check out My Scrapbooking Supplies. This is a great site with great info. You'll be seeing some of my work posted on the site after December 7th.

If I don't check in before, have a wonderful Thanksgiving!!

Crafty Critters Challenge #12

First let me introduce you to my crafting assistant. His name is Marshall Dean Newby and he is 19 months old. Marshall thinks its his job to try out all of his Mommy's crafting supplies before she does. He likes to pull the tape runner out of the runner case, I'm not sure if he is testing the durability of the case or of the tape. This is yet to be decided!! He also likes to scribble all over pattern paper with his Mommy's Bic Mark It markers. The effectiveness of this was questionable at first but then after he drew on his face I realized he was doing it for the washability effect.
So now off to my creation of the day. Let me just say first that if I can do this, anyone can. At first I was intimidated because I don't do projects like this very well, secondly the template was a lot smaller than I was thinking it would be. However it printed and cut out so nice. The only thing I noticed is that the template missed telling you to punch holes in the upper back side of the actual back pack for the ribbon to come through. It told you to do it on the lower part and on the flap but not the upper back side.

So this is my creation. This was for Crafty Critters challenge #12 hosted by April Lower. Our challenge was to create a backpack from TLC232 and make it a kids theme. I love this Cowboy DP so I decided to go with a Cowboy theme.

The only thing I was not happy with is the ribbon was too long. I could not find my ruler to measure it so I guesstimated it and came out a little long

Lastly is my craft space when I finished. As you can see I just pushed some things aside to get started. The wires everywhere are from me being to lazy to put them away. :( You can see my laptop has the instructions on them that I followed step by step. I'm sorta dummy proof like that.

Thanks so much for looking, I hope you enjoyed!!

Ribbon Ring

So today I have a non-crafting post to share. I promised I would give my feedback on The Ribbon Ring.

I purchased the starter set and it is well worth the money. You'll have to view their online store to get full details of how this little system works. I pulled all of my odds and ends out of zip lock bags and put them onto the ring. I could not believe how much it fit. I put a little sticky hook in my craft area and hung the ring on the hook. Now instead of all my loose odds and ends being in zip locks out of my sight I have them right in front of me the entire time I'm crafting. You know what they say, out of sight out of mind and that is exactly what happened.

Thanks for taking the time to look and read. Have a great weekend!! I'll be back tomorrow with actual craft projects.

O Holy Night

Ildi is hosting a challenge and a party on SNR on Thursday. They will be offering a free digi image so be sure to hop over and check it out.

The challenge on their Challenge Blog is to create a card using the lyrics or title of a Christmas song that inspire you.
I chose the song O Holy Night. This is my favorite Christmas song and honestly brings tears to my eyes at times. Celebrating the night of Jesus's birth is the most precious gift we can ever receive. I love being reminded of this through this wonderful song.

I used card sketch 17 from Card Patterns on SNR. I love this layout and will be using it again.
My image is one of Ildi Co Digital Image's Snopals. This image is called Snopal Star. I thought it tied together perfect with the part of the song that says, "The Star is Brightly Shining." What a sweet, fun image to tie to a wonderful, inspirational song.

Worm Wishes

This is a new image I just got from Stamping Bellas. Well it's new to me anyway, I don't know about it being new to the company. I used a card sketch from Splitcoast Stampers, SC254. I have really been enjoying Roxi's card sketches on SCS. I have been drawing a blank with layouts lately so it's nice to have somewhere to turn to for ideas. The image name is Ambitious Fisherman.

You Rock!

Why do I love card kits so much???
I love card kits because everything you need to create beautiful cards comes put together in one little kit. I love that you can make two to three different card layouts with the same kit. The main thing I love is that someone else puts the kits together for you so it's their ideas put together for you to create from. Thank you April Lower for this great kit.

I was so excited to receive my Stamping Bella order yesterday. I stepped out of my box and purchased some of their other awesome images on the site. Plus they were having a promo that if you spent so much you received a bag full of free sentiments. So I really made out!!

We were at a double b-day party last night. When we got home I got the kiddos ready for bed and dove into making some cards.

Meet Sir Cute A Lot. I will definitely be using him in my boys scrapbooks. He is not just too cute!!

Double B-day Party

So today we have a double birthday party. Thank goodness its at the same home for two children in the same family. That always make it easier. The card for the little boy that is turning 1 I pulled out of my stash and just put a 1 on it. I was going to post the card but realized I already did about a month ago. So your just going to see the 7 year old girl's card. You color gals need to give me some tips on coloring black hair. I was not sure how to do this and did not want the hair to come out grey. If you have tips tell me what Copics, Bics, etc you use.

I used Splitcoast Stampers sketch SC157.

Here is my card:

Built With Love

On SCS I participated in a boy border swap. I decided to do a Robot theme so I could use this fun, cute paper I had in stock. I also wanted to use Ildi's adorable Emotibot so this gave me a great way to use him in something other than on a card.

Make sure you hop over to Ildi's digi store (link on my left side bar) to snatch him up. Ildi offers adorable, fun, affordable digi images that you won't want to pass up.

Crafty Critters Challenge #11

Tracey in our Crafty Critters Blog Group hosted our 11th challenge. Our challenge was to create a Non-Traditional Christmas card. We were to use SCS sketch SC240, No red or green, use Stickles, and any Christmas image. I decided to use one of the new Snopals from Ildi Co Digi Images.

Thanks Tracey, you rock, this was a fun challenge.

Sweet Cocoa

Sweet N Sassy Stamps recently hosted a release party. The challenge they had to earn a free image was to create a card using holy. I had this pretty Christmas paper sitting in my stash for about a year so I decided to use it on this fun card. I used thier Sweet Cocoa mouse as the image for my card. I used Roxie from SCS's weekly card sketch SC253.

Crazy Croppers 12 Hour Crop

So on Friday I hosted our twice a year mom's group crop. We had 35 ladies in attendance and it was a ton of fun. I completed 24 pages which put a huge smile on my face. I have been wanting to completed our Disney Cruise vacation that we took in 2008. We are headed to Disney again in December and I did not want to be behind because then I tend to mix the two trips together by accident. So I have 4 more pages to do and then I'll be done with the album. Below are 4 double pages layouts out of the book. I think the book as a total of 65+ page. Eeeks!! Praise God for SCS and all the wonderful swap pages I had that made this album so much fun to put together.

Read My T

I was so excited to receive this stamp set from Hanna Stamps. The huge blowout sale they are having right now allowed me to get her at a great price. Because she is so tall I searched the SCS sketch forum for the perfect sketch for her and I thought this one worked great. I cropped her to fit the card. This is one of Roxie's sketchs, SC249.
